Endhiran The Robot is the forthcoming Tamil movie directed by the much renowned Director S Shankar starring Rajnikanth and Aishwarya Rai. The film was earlier named as Robo and then renamed as Robot. This is the 10th film of Shankar, after the great success of blockbuster Sivaji: The Boss, and is one of the highest ever film budgets which is expected to cost around 120 crores.
Golden Globes Award winner musical mastero A. R. Rahman is the music director of Endhiran The Robot. This new kollywood science-fiction movie is produced by Kalanidhi Maran and the script is written by Balakumaran, Sujatha Rangarajan, and S. Shankar. After the great success of Vaaranam Aayiram, Endhiran The Robot will be a breakthrough for R. Rathnavelu.
Endhiran The Robot was initially planned to be produced and distributed by Ayngaran International along with Eros Labs, however the currently ongoing global market recession and the failures of Drona and Yuvvraj, produced by Eros International, put Ayngaran International on financial pressure. Hence Chennai-based “Sun Pictures” bought the production rights of Endhiran The Robot.
Endhiran The Robot is expected to be released on April 14th 2010.
